Odell Bailey Legendary Music Mogul & Beloved Friend
(Dr. Odell Bailey Sr. 08/20/1923 - 06/01/2004)

This tribute is dedicated to our dear friend and mentor in the music business.

Dr. Bailey was truly an inspiration and friend to all the artists, and musicians lives that
he touched. He was a great Christian man of God, a pioneer in the music business, a
Mason, and U.S. Army Veteran, hailing from Pittsburgh, later moving to Detroit.
Odell helped the young careers of many up and coming artists, such as the late great
songstress Phyllis Hyman, legendary guitarist George Benson, flutist Alexander Zonzic,
just to name a few. Odell produced many records throughout his music career, and helped
many others to do so. He was very encouraged and proud of his latest song & Cd project
"Traveling On Gods Highway" - featuring Ms. Bobby Thompson. Above all he was a
loving and devoted family man, father of three, grandfather of eight, great grandfather of
eight, and a husband of fifty-five years to a wonderful supportive wife Johnnie Mae Bailey.


We will truly miss him, and are better people because of him. We owe Odell a world
of gratitude for all the music, knowledge and support he gave us through the years,
Odell will always be loved and remembered , may God Bless and keep the Bailey family.
